Ottawa JazzWorks updates and connections
========================================================================

With the increasing number of JazzWorks alumni (faculty and students)
subscribed to this newsletter and living far from Ottawa, this section is
intended to provide an opportunity for them to stay in touch and announce
activities that may be of interest to other JazzWorks participants or the
general public. All of the caveats, warnings, rules and stuff at the end of
the newsletter regarding announcements still apply.

Ottawa JazzWorks is an annual 3-day weekend of 24-hour, wall-to-wall jazz
experimentation for adult jazz musicians (all levels, beginner through
professional) and advanced high school musicians, with a faculty of
pre-eminent Canadian and American jazz musicians and educators.

JazzWorks is held at CAMMAC at McDonald Lake North of Hawkesbury. This
wonderful new facility is especially designed to accommodate groups for
musical instruction in a natural setting. For more information on the
workshop, please visit http://www.jazzworkscanada.com or call 613-523-0316.

To have your jazz happenings posted in this newsletter

* Send an email to OttawaJazzHappenings at JazzworksCanada.com with the
relevant details, including the contact for further information.
* Only email notices will be accepted.
* No attachments please. A plain email with the relevant details,
preferably in plain text format, is all that is needed.
* Send your announcement as early as possible and no later than Sunday night
before it needs to appear in the newsletter.

Events must be jazz related or otherwise worthy of notice in the editors'
sole opinion.

In general, one message per week is sent to the list. We try to send the
message early in the week - but it will vary according to the editors'
schedule and workload.

Normally events will only be announced that are occurring in the week to
12 days after the newsletter date, in order to keep the newsletter from
getting too long.

The editors reserve the right to edit submissions, including not putting
them in the posting at all.
